Common use of Abandonment of Position Clause in Contracts

Abandonment of Position. An employee who fails to report for duty for five (5) working days without informing the College of the reason for his absence shall be presumed to have abandoned his position without proper notice and clause 12.06 will be effected. An employee shall be afforded the opportunity to rebut such presumption and demonstrate that there were reasonable grounds for not informing the College.
