Aalto. Aalto has a non-exclusive right to use all Results for educational, research and communication purposes. Confidentiality obligation has to, however, be taken into consideration.
Aalto. The undersigned Student hereby grants to Aalto non-exclusive intellectual property rights to the Result, including right to use, modify, as well as to license and transfer the rights to third parties, for example with Creative Commons CC BY 4.0 license xxxxx://xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx.xxx/licenses/by/4.0/. The Student shall not receive any compensation for such transfer.
Aalto. Aalto University (formerly known by the short name TKK) is the parent organization for Metsähovi Radio Observatory. Metsähovi Radio Observatory is a long time partner in the EVN and has been participating in VLBI observations since 1991. Metsähovi operates a 14-m mm-wave radio telescope and is a specialist in mm-VLBI and geodetic e-VLBI. Since the early 1990's it has been one of the few institutes in the world where VLBI data acquisition systems have been actively constructed and developed further. Recent and future developments have concentrated on maximizing the applicability of Commercially Available Off-the-Shelf (COTS) technology for multi-gigabit VLBI data acquisition and storage applications. As a partner in industry space technology projects as well as ESA Xxxxxx and NASA AMS-02, Metsähovi is an active expert in several networking, computing, VLBI hardware, and data processing projects. Aalto will collaborate with JIVE on enabling flexible buffering at the stations to safeguard against loss of data in case of network failures and on enabling delayed transfer in the case of low connectivity. In addition to managing the WP8, Aalto is responsible for developing the basic storage element API and corresponding hardware and software prototype implementations that can be used by other partners in integration and testing tasks of WP8. Xxx Xxxxxxx is a software engineer at Metsähovi Radio Observatory. He has a X.Xx. in EE from Helsinki University of Technology (1992) with software engineering and production as the major subject. Prior to joining MRO in 1992 he has worked for commercial software houses creating software production toolsets for both CAD and business database applications. At MRO, he has written software and created electronic designs for the in- house telescope control and single-dish data acquisition system. For the 1998 STS-91 space shuttle AMS mission MRO was responsible for the ground segment of AMS HRDL (High-Rate Data Link) for which Xxx Xxxxxxx wrote the autonomous Linux-based data acquisition software package. Xxxxx Xxxxxxxx is a hardware engineer at Metsähovi Radio Observatory. He has a X.Xx. in EE from Helsinki University of Technology (1980) with hardware engineering and data communications as the major subject. Prior to joining MRO in 1987 he has worked for Nokia Corporation developing data communication protocols. Aalto. Aalto is responsible for organizing the course and for the overall guidance and supervising of the Students in the Project in order for the Students to achieve the targets of the Project. The Partner The Partner shall provide the Students with necessary information, material and guidance so that the Students are able to complete the Project in the agreed Schedule. The Partner shall also provide feedback during the Project and participate in the final assessment. Copyrights and other IPR Students Copyright and other intellectual property rights, hereinafter referred together as “IPR”, in a Result become the property of those Students who have created it. Title and ownership to the IPR are divided in equal shares between the Students who are creators of the Result. If, however, a Student interrupts the course before the final presentation, the Student renounces all his/her IPR rights in the Result to the benefit of other Students. Regardless of the rights of other Parties, moral rights including rights of paternity and integrity will always remain with the Students who are creators of the Result.
Aalto. Incoming students from EETAC-UPC to Aalto Application schedule, application and selection procedure, selection criteria, student quota Application schedule The application period to the double degree programme will be organized in accordance with the main admission period of Aalto’s University’s Master’s programmes, typically during December-January. The partner university will be informed about the exact dates yearly. Application and selection procedure for second year students The home university (EETAC-UPC) of the student nominates its students for the double degree programme. Aalto. Aalto has a non-exclusive right to use all Results for educational, research and communication purposes. Confidentiality obligation has to, however, be taken into consideration. The Partner Choose from either Option A or Option B and delete the other Right to use On the basis of this agreement the Partner will get a non-exclusive right to use all Results for its internal purposes without any temporal limits without any compensation to the Students. This right to use includes also the right to modify the Results for the same purpose. Internal purposes does not cover use in products or services offered to external clients. Other rights If the Partner wishes to obtain more IPR rights, the Partner and the Students, who are creators of the Result, shall agree separately later in writing about the content of the rights and compensation payable for these IPR rights. All IPRs to all Results, including also the right to transfer and to modify the Results, will be transferred to the Partner. The Students shall perform their duties under this agreement without any compensation from the Partner. Rights referred to in paragraph 6.2 will remain with Aalto. Compensation for Aalto No compensation will be paid by the Partner to Aalto on the basis of this agreement.

The Partner The Partner shall provide the Students with necessary information, material and guidance so that the Students are able to complete the Project in the agreed Schedule. Other terms and conditions This Agreement does not transfer any intellectual property rights or create any rights of use between the Parties.
