A TEMPORARY ASSIGNMENT. Employees temporarily assigned to a higher rated position in the bargaining agreement shall be entitled to the rate of pay for such classification at their step on the salary schedule for the classification to which they have been temporarily assigned beginning the eleventh work day of consecutive assignment (payment of the difference retroactive to the sixth day, inclusive). Such assignments shall not require an employee to a shift change unless such an appointment is approved by the affected employee. Temporary assignments shall not exceed thirty calendar days unless agreed to by the union and affected employee. Management shall not remove an employee from a temporary assignment unless good cause exists.

A TEMPORARY ASSIGNMENT. A CSO 1 is given the temporary assignment to cover an ISP/JISP officer’s responsibilities during intermittent paid or unpaid leaves of one or more ISP/JISP officers and the total accumulated time for all such assignments exceeds 550 hours in the fiscal year. The employee shall receive a 5% increase in his/her CSO 1 hourly rate of pay for each hour of such temporary assignment that exceeds 550 hours in the fiscal year. Any time actually worked outside of the employee’s regularly scheduled 40-hour workweek as a result of being given an ISP/JISP officer’s beeper/pager shall count toward the 550 or more hours of time worked covering an ISP/JISP officer’s responsibilities. In the event the temporary assignment develops into an extended leave of absence as defined in 6.A(1), above, the provisions pertaining to the extended leave assignment become applicable as of the date of notice and are not retroactive.
A TEMPORARY ASSIGNMENT. The pro rata hourly rate shall be determined by dividing the annual salary of the employee by the number of work days and that resultant figure by six (6). Instructional Assistants may be temporarily assigned by the Administration to provide initial instruction to students. Prior to such assignment, consultation with the Instructor(s) shall take place. The assignment shall be made for a short duration and for a specified purpose. While functioning on this temporary assignment, Instructional Assistants shall be compensated at a rate equal to the beginning step of the Instructor pay schedule.

  • Temporary Assignment 11.01 Employees shall perform any temporary work which the management directs with the understanding that when an employee is assigned to a job with a lesser rate of pay, he shall receive his regular rate of pay.

  • Temporary Assignments When an employee is assigned temporarily by his/her appointing authority to a job for which he/she is qualified in a higher pay grade for a period of five (5) days or his/her regular workweek, whichever is less, the employee shall be paid retroactively from the initial date of the temporary transfer for the duration of the temporary assignment.   • Pay on Temporary Assignment An employee temporarily assigned by the Employer to a position with a rate of pay lower than her regular rate of pay shall maintain her regular rate of pay.

  • Temporary Reassignment Notwithstanding the above, the Appointing Authority may temporarily reassign any employee to another work area and/or shift for five (5) consecutive months or less. With mutual agreement between the Local and the Appointing Authority, such reassignment may extend up to twelve (12) months. At the end of the reassignment, the reassigned employee shall return to his/her former position, unless the position has been abolished, in which case the employee shall return to his/her former work area and shift.

  • Shift Assignment Should the University elect to establish a shift on any other schedule than the regular day shift (Monday through Friday) or to assign employees to work on any such shift, the employee(s) with the most seniority in the classification affected or to be assigned on such shift shall have preference in moving to such shift. If an insufficient number of employees in the classification elect to move to such shift, then the employee(s) with the least seniority in the classification shall be assigned to such shift. If positions or shifts are reduced or eliminated or movement of personnel to other shifts is required, then the seniority of the affected employee will prevail in the selection of shift, provided the affected employee can do the required work. Such shift preference is only applicable within the employee's classification.

  • A ssignment Contractor shall not assign any interest in this Agreement and shall not transfer any interest in the same without the prior written consent of County except that claims for money due or to become due Contractor from County under this Agreement may be assigned by Contractor to a bank, trust company, or other financial institution without such approval. Written notice of any such transfer shall be furnished promptly to County. Any attempt at assignment of rights under this Agreement except for those specifically consented to by both parties or as stated above shall be void.

  • Room Assignment The Landlord will assign rooms in accordance with the current assignment practice set by Residence Services. The Landlord reserves the right to transfer or move Tenants when deemed necessary. Tenants failing to arrive within 48 hours of the specified move-in date, without informing Residence Services of the delay, will lose their room assignment.

  • SUBLET/ASSIGNMENT The Lessee may not transfer or assign this Lease, or any right or interest hereunder or sublet said leased Premises or any part thereof without first obtaining the prior written consent and approval of the Lessor.

  • Work Assignments Section 1. The Company shall determine whether to staff a position or fill a vacancy and the method or combination of methods it shall use for such purposes. In making this determination, the Company shall first give consideration to qualified laid off employees with applications on file in accordance with Article 14 Section 7 of this Agreement and then internal candidates prior to off-street applicants. All vacancies within the Bargaining Unit shall be posted (manually or electronically) in locations where Bargaining Unit employees regularly work. The posting shall include the title, wage range, and sufficient information regarding requirements and duties to adequately describe the vacancy. The vacancy shall remain posted for seven (7) calendar days which shall be spread between two (2) workweeks.
