00 - HOURS OF WORK. 14.01 The Employer does not guarantee to provide work to any employee for regularly assigned hours or any other hours, except as provided for in Article 18.00. Eight (8) hours shall constitute a normal day of work. The normal hours of work shall be between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. for an eight (8) hour day, with one-half or one hour for lunch at the midpoint of the shift. Forty (40) hours shall constitute a normal week's work, Monday through Friday inclusive. Variances beyond one (1) hour of 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. shall be agreed mutually between the Employer and the Business Manager. The one (1) hour variance is conditional upon the Employer giving the Union and affected employees appropriate advance notice. If the foregoing starting or quitting times are changed without mutual agreement, applicable overtime rates shall be paid for any time worked before or after the above hours as a result of the change of the times.

00 - HOURS OF WORK. An employee’s scheduled hours of work must be confined within a period of 12 consecutive hours in any one work day. Hours of work are established for each position as identified by the individual departments according to their varying needs. The normal hours of work for full time employees shall be: - 35 hours per week – 7 hours per day, or - 37.5 hours per week – 7.5 hours per day, or - 40 hours per week – 8 hours per day. Paid time off, and unpaid leave pursuant to Article 3.04.1, shall be considered hours worked for the purposes of this Article.

Except as hereinafter provided, the hours of work shall be from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon and 12:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. 18:01(1)(ii) Notwithstanding Article 18:01(1)(i), Employees in keeping with the immediate efficiency of operation may have their Unpaid Lunch Period adjusted by their Immediate Supervisor to be any thirty (30) consecutive minute period to commence between 11:30 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. (11:00 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. for Employees who are regularly employed in the Plants Section, except Regular Shift Employees). Should these Employees have been unable to take their Unpaid Lunch Period during the regular time or within the flexible period then Overtime as specified under Article 19:06 will apply.
00 - HOURS OF WORK. 7.01 (a) Warehousemen - Daily Hours/Work Week The daily hours of any full time shift for Warehousemen, shall be eight (8) consecutive working hours, excluding the unpaid meal break. The regular work week shall consist of five (5) consecutive work days in a seven day period, only one (1) work day of which can be a Saturday or Sunday.

Variances beyond one (1) hour shall be agreed mutually by the Employer and the Business Representative of the Union and the consent to variance will not be unreasonably withheld. For Compressed Work Weeks the Employer may vary the start/quit times by changing the scheduled starting time up to thirty minutes at their option. Variances beyond thirty minutes shall be agreed mutually by the Employer and the Business Representative of the Union. A variance in start/quit times shall be applied consistently on the job site and in no circumstances shall split shifts be created unless mutually agreed to between the Parties. If the foregoing starting or quitting times are changed without mutual agreement, applicable overtime rates shall be paid for any time worked before or after the above hours as a result of the change of the times.
