Conformity to Law. This Agreement shall be governed and construed according to the Constitution and Laws of the State of Washington. If any provision of this Agreement, or any application of the Agreement to any employee or groups of employees shall be found contrary to law by a court or administrative agency of competent jurisdiction, such provision or application shall have effect only to the extent permitted by law. All other provisions or applications of the Agreement shall continue in full force and effect. If any provision of this Agreement is held to be contrary to law, the parties shall commence negotiations on said provision as soon thereafter as is reasonably possible.
Conformity to Law. 51.01 This Agreement shall be subject to and subordinated to any applicable present and future federal and state laws, and the invalidity of any provision(s) of this Agreement by reason of any such existing or future law shall not effect the validity of the surviving provisions.

Conformity to Law. Should any provision of this Agreement be declared illegal by a court of competent jurisdiction, then such provision shall be replaced by a provision agreed upon by the Board and the Association and made a part hereof as an appropriate amendment to this contract. All other provisions of this Agreement shall remain in full force and effect for the duration of this Agreement.
Conformity to Law. Any provision in this Agreement that is in conflict with the requirements of any state or federal law that applies to this Agreement is automatically changed to satisfy the minimum requirements of such law.

The District and the Association agree that this Agreement shall be binding on both parties, except that if any section or provision is or shall be contrary to law, then such sections or provisions shall not be applicable, performed or enforced except to the extent permitted by law. The remainder of this contract shall not be affected thereby and the District and the Association shall enter into negotiations concerning alternative provisions for those sections of the Agreement affected.
