Legal Duties a) An Employee will be granted paid leave if the Employee is called for jury duty or to act as a witness in a legal proceeding in which the Employee is not a party. However, the Employee shall be required to remit to the University any pay received for the fulfilment of these duties. If such pay is greater than their regular Salary, the University will reimburse the difference to the Employee.

Legal Duties a) In the event that an employee is called to perform jury duty or to act as a witness in a case which he is not a party, he will not lose any regular salary as a result while he is required to act in this capacity. However, for each working day, the employee must give the University any pay received for the fulfillment of these duties. If the latter is greater that his regular salary the University will reimburse him the difference.

If the presence of an Employee is required in a civil, administrative or penal court, in a legal proceeding in which the Employee is a party, the Employee is entitled to make use of any accumulated vacation or overtime or they may apply for an unpaid leave.
