Working with Children Check definition

Working with Children Check means the process under Part 2 of the Working with Children Xxx 0000 (Vic) for assessing or re-assessing whether a person is suitable to work in child-related work. A reference to an Act or any section of an Act is a reference to the Act or section as amended from time to time. Where a word or phrase is given a particular meaning, other parts of speech and grammatical forms of that word or phrase have corresponding meanings. Each Party includes the successor or successors of that Party. Words denoting the singular include the plural and vice versa. Words denoting any gender include all genders. Any marginal notes or headings are included for convenience and do not affect the interpretation of this Contract. References to clauses are references to clauses of this Contract. The Schedules, Appendix and other documents (if any) annexed to this Contract form part of this Contract. In the event of any discrepancy or inconsistency between this Contract, its Schedules, Appendices or other documents (if any) annexed to this Contract or any of them the following order of precedence shall apply to resolve the same: the terms and conditions of this Contract; the Schedules; the Appendices; and any annexed documents.
Working with Children Check means a working with children check pursuant to the Working With Children Act 2005 (Vic).
Working with Children Check has the meaning given in the Working With Children Xxx 0000 (Vic).

(2) For the purposes of this Act a person is listed with an agency if he or she has entered into an agreement with the agency for the agency to procure child-related work for him or her, whether or not the agreement extends to any other kind of work. (3) For the purposes of this Act a person does not cease to be a volunteer merely because he or she has all or any of his or her out-of-pocket expenses reimbursed.
