Weather Index definition

Weather Index means the mathematical construct on the basis of which Policy is issued. Weather Index would be constructed with any one or a combination of the following weather parameters (this will be specified for each individual Policy under section “Coverage Details” in Schedule.

• The overall effect is for fire to spread more rapidly through fuels with lower moisture content.The effects of wind are also likely to have an influence on vapour exchange processes but these are not typically accounted for in modelling endeavours (the Canadian Fire Weather Index System is an exception).
