Water quality standards means provisions of state or federal law which consist of a designated use or uses for the waters of the Commonwealth and water quality criteria for such waters based upon such uses. Water quality standards are to protect the public health or welfare, enhance the quality of water and serve the purposes of the State Water Control Law (§ 62.1-44.2 et seq. of the Code of Virginia) and the federal Clean Water Act (33 USC § 1251 et seq.).
Applicable water quality standards means all water quality standards to which a discharge is subject under the federal Clean Water Act and which has been (a) approved or permitted to remain in effect by the Administrator following submission to the Administrator pursuant to Section 303(a) of the Act, or (b) promulgated by the Director pursuant to Section 303(b) or 303(c) of the Act, and standards promulgated under (APCEC) Regulation No. 2, as amended.
Water quality volume means the volume equal to the first one-half inch of runoff multiplied by the impervious surface of the land development project.
Water quality means the physical characteristics of water within shoreline jurisdiction, including water quantity, hydrological, physical, chemical, aesthetic, recreation-related, and biological characteristics. Where used in this chapter, the term "water quantity" refers only to development and uses regulated under this chapter and affecting water quantity, such as impermeable surfaces and storm water handling practices. Water quantity, for purposes of this chapter, does not mean the withdrawal of ground water or diversion of surface water pursuant to RCW 90.03.250 through 90.03.340.
Safety Regulations means The Railways and Other Guided Transport Systems (Safety) Regulations 2006;
National Ambient Air Quality Standards or “NAAQS” means national ambient air quality standards that are promulgated pursuant to Section 109 of the Act, 42 U.S.C. § 7409.
the 2000 Regulations means the Water Supply (Water Quality) Regulations 2000(b); "the 2001 Regulations" means the Water Supply (Water Quality) Regulations 2001(c);
Ambient air quality standard means an established concentration, exposure time, and frequency of occurrence of air contaminant(s) in the ambient air which shall not be exceeded.
SEBI Regulations means the Securities and Exchange Board of India (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015 together with the circulars issued thereunder, including any statutory modification(s) or re-enactment(s) thereof for the time being in force.
the 1997 Regulations means the Zebra, Pelican and Puffin Pedestrian Crossing Regulations 1997.
Regulation Zone means any of those one or more geographic areas, each consisting of a combination of one or more Control Zone(s) as designated by the Office of the Interconnection in the PJM Manuals, relevant to provision of, and requirements for, regulation service.
TUPE Regulations means the Transfer of Undertakings (Protection of Employment) Regulations 2006, as amended.
High Quality Waters means all state waters, except:
HIPAA Regulations means the regulations promulgated under HIPAA by the United States Department of Health and Human Services, including, but not limited to, 45 C.F.R. Part 160 and 45 C.F.R. Part 164.
Land Use Regulations means all ordinances, resolutions and codes adopted by the City governing the development and use of land, including the permitted use of land, the density or intensity of use, subdivision requirements, the maximum height and size of proposed buildings, the provisions for reservation or Dedication of land for public purposes, and the design, improvement and construction and initial occupancy standards and specifications applicable to the Development of the Property. “Land Use Regulations” do not include any City or City-agency ordinance, resolution or code governing any of the following:
Federal safety requirements means applicable provisions of 49 U.S.C. § 30101 et seq. and all
Occupational Health and Safety Act means the Occupational Health and Safety Act, 1993 (Act No 85 of 1993);
CFTC Regulations means the rules and regulations promulgated by the CFTC, as amended.
Environmental, Health, and Safety Requirements means all federal, state, local and foreign statutes, regulations, and ordinances concerning public health and safety, worker health and safety, and pollution or protection of the environment, including without limitation all those relating to the presence, use, production, generation, handling, transportation, treatment, storage, disposal, distribution, labeling, testing, processing, discharge, release, threatened release, control, or cleanup of any hazardous materials, substances or wastes, as such requirements are enacted and in effect on or prior to the Closing Date.
UCITS Regulations means the European Communities Undertakings for Collective Investment in Transferable Securities) Regulations, 2011 (S.I. No. 352 of 2011) (as amended consolidated or substituted from time to time) and any regulations or notices issued by the Central Bank pursuant thereto for the time being in force.
ISA Regulations means The Individual Savings Account Regulations 1998, as amended or replaced from time to time.
WHFIT Regulations Treasury Regulations section 1.671-5, as amended.
Security Regulations has the meaning set forth in Section 9.2(a).
Privacy Regulations means the Privacy and Electronic Communications (EC Directive) Regulations 2003 as amended in 2004, 2011, 2015 and 2016 and as may be further amended from time to time;
SBE Regulations means the written regulations and procedures adopted pursuant to this chapter for procurement of Supplies, Services and Public Works.
the 2001 Regulations means the Water Supply (Water Quality) Regulations 2001[63];
