Water Connection Fees means the fees and charges, if any, imposed by the District to acquire, construct, equip or expand the capacity of the water facilities of the Utility System for the purpose of paying or reimbursing the equitable share of the capital cost relating to such acquisition, construction, expansion or equipping of capacity of the water facilities of the Utility System or expansion thereof in order to serve new users of the water facilities of the Utility System and new development within the service area of the Utility System, to the extent the same are lawfully levied, collected and pledged. Such Water Connection Fees may include carrying costs associated with the water facilities of the Utility System.
