Vulnerable Sector Check definition

Vulnerable Sector Check means the original search results of a Police Vulnerable Sector Check, enhanced screening for those employed in positions working with vulnerable persons, from each police service’s jurisdiction in Canada in which the Applicant has been resident during the prior three hundred and sixty- five (365) days, dated no more than thirty (30) days prior to the submission of the Application.
Vulnerable Sector Check means a Police Information Check including a check to see if a person has a record suspension (pardon) for sexual offences.
Vulnerable Sector Check means the process that verifies whether an individual has a criminal record, as well as any record suspensions (formerly pardons) for sexual offences and local police records information relevant to the check.

  • The Operator agrees to obtain a Vulnerable Sector Check for employees, as required.

  • As a requirement of working for A&R, you must obtain both a Canadian Police Information Centre (CPIC) Check and a Vulnerable Sector Check and produce a Letter of Clearance prior to commencing work.

  • You are also required to immediately disclose to A&R any occurrence and/or circumstance(s) that might impact your ability to receive a clear CPIC or Vulnerable Sector Check.

  • Prior to interacting with children, all students and volunteers are required to provide confirmation of a clear Police Vulnerable Sector Check (individuals 18 years of age and older), verification of up-to-date immunization, and a recent TB skin test (if required by the region).

  • Provide the City with a valid Level 3 – Vulnerable Sector Check (the “VSC”).


More Definitions of Vulnerable Sector Check

Vulnerable Sector Check means a specific search included within the Criminal Record Check which must include a search for children and vulnerable adults.
Vulnerable Sector Check means a verification as referred to in subsection 6.3(3) of the Criminal Records Act;

Vulnerable Sector Check or “VSC” means all information disclosed in a Criminal Records and Judicial Matters Check, and includes every criminal offence with which the individual has been charged that resulted in a finding of not criminally responsible on account of mental disorder (disclosure prohibited if the request is made more than five years after the date of the finding or if the individual received an absolute discharge and any non- conviction information authorized for exceptional disclosure in accordance with section 10 of the Police Records Check Reform Act, 2015.
Vulnerable Sector Check means a secondary part of the Police Record Check, for individuals who are volunteering in a vulnerable sector (such as with minor athletes or with persons with a disability), which also searches for the existence of any pardoned sex offenses and/or charges (VS)
Vulnerable Sector Check means a record check conducted by a police agency consisting of all of the following:
Vulnerable Sector Check means a level of screening that is designed to protect vulnerable persons from dangerous offenders by uncovering the existence of a criminal record, adverse police contact, and/or pardoned (or record suspension) sexual offence conviction. This level of screening is restricted to applicants seeking employment and/or volunteering with vulnerable persons
