Vertical Clearance. The Vertical Clearance project was developed as one of the initial IEF pathfinder projects at the Highway and Transportation Department. The system allows clearance information regarding bridge structures in the State of Missouri to be entered and maintained. An example of a vertical clearance is the distance from the surface of a roadway to the bottom of a bridge structure which spans the roadway. This data is utilized to assist in vehicle routing throughout the state. A member of the Encore Team assisted in project scoping, facilitation, BAA and BSI portions of the project.
