Versions definition

Versions means a delivery of new features packaged as part of existing Software (e.g., XYX Workflow V27.1 Service Pack 2; XYZ Imaging), v20d; XYZ Dynamics V5.
Versions shall be designated by a change in the digits to the left of the decimal point, and "Releases" shall be designated by a change in the digits to the right of the decimal point.
Versions means new software that is issued when the core architecture is changed significantly, and which is identified as "version 3.X" or higher.

Examples of Versions in a sentence

  • Non-commercial Versions of the Software may not be used for, or distributed to any party for, any commercial purpose.

  • Section 2 (Available Versions) describes the characteristics particular to Optimized Service – Access +, and then to the non-Optimized Services – Ethernet Access and Network Services Local Access Service.

  • Customer may choose to use EAP Versions during a Subscription period.

  • Licensee is under no obligation to license any such New Versions.

  • Under this release process, the supported versions are the latest Major Version, and no more than 3 Major Versions below the latest release.


More Definitions of Versions

Versions means any substantial changes to the Existing Technology for which either party issues a Release and updates the identity number associated with the Existing Technology; and
Versions means, with respect to any software, all versions or releases of any thereof (whether past versions or releases, shipping versions or releases, or versions or releases currently under development, and whether English or foreign language versions or releases).
Versions means major Software upgrades that generally add function to existing Software and may be provided by the Software vendor at a fee over and above the standard Software maintenance costs.
Versions or "Upgrade" means a new version of the Software (including documentation) which incorporates a series of new releases of Software and may incorporate other changes, improvements and new features. A new Version (Upgrade) is indicated by a change in characters to the left of the decimal point in the Software version number (e.g. V I. 1 changes to V2.1).
Versions means, as the context requires, either: (i) major new releases of the Software, representing significant new functionality and designated by the number to the left of the decimal place (e.g., Version 2.x, 3.x, etc) (“Major Version”); (ii) minor new releases, representing minor enhancements and/or feature upgrades for the existing content services or functionality and designated by the number to the right of the decimal place (e.g., Version x.1, x.2, etc) (“Minor Version”); or (iii) an alpha-numeric version reflecting error corrections or bug fixes based on the latest/current code base and designated by the letter to the last number (e.g., Version x.x(a), x.x(b), etc) (“Patch Version”); or (iv) some combination of the foregoing, as the case requires.
Versions means a release of the Software where the second and/or third integers are changed by MSTS, i.e. Version 5.20 and Version 5.30 are distinct versions. In the event that MSTS elects to cease supporting the Software in its entirety, and such support is not provided by MSTS’s successors and assigns and its and their contractors, Licensee shall have the right to use the source code for the Version of the Software that the Licensee is operating at that time solely to support Licensee’s continued internal use of such Software Version in accordance with the terms and scope of the license set forth herein for its intended purpose. From time to time, MSTS may agree to perform certain custom services for Licensee (collectively “Custom Services”). In each such case, such Custom Services and Licensee’s payment obligations with respect thereto shall be as described in a Work Order that is duly executed by an authorized representative of each party. Unless and until the parties execute a Work Order, MSTS shall have no obligation to provide any Custom Services. Neither party shall be obligated to enter into any Work Order. MSTS shall not have any obligation to provide any Custom Services beyond the scope specified in the applicable Work Order. Each Work Order executed by both parties shall be deemed incorporated by reference into this Agreement and shall be governed by the terms hereof.
Versions means each issue of each RELEASE of the SOFTWARE developed by SAP AG, or its licensors, which has incorporated further development work within the technology of that RELEASE.
