U.S. Account definition

U.S. Account means a Financial Account maintained by a Reporting [FATCA Partner] Financial Institution and held by one or more Specified U.S. Persons or by a Non-U.S. Entity with one or more Controlling Persons that is a Specified U.S. Person. Notwithstanding the foregoing, an account shall not be treated as a U.S. Account if such account is not identified as a U.S. Account after application of the due diligence procedures in Annex I.
U.S. Account means any account that is held by one or more U.S. Persons or non-U.S. entities that have one or more Controlling Persons who is a U.S. Person;
U.S. Account means an account established by Canadian Agent in New York into which funds to be advanced to Canadian Borrowers by Lenders in US Dollars and funds to be paid by Canadian Borrowers to Lenders in US Dollars will be deposited.

Examples of U.S. Account in a sentence

  • Unless otherwise provided, information with respect to a U.S. Account must be reported annually in the calendar year following the year to which the information relates.

  • If any such person is a U.S. citizen or resident, the Reporting San Marino Financial Institution must treat the account as a U.S. Account.

U.S. Account under FATCA means a financial account maintained by a “U.S. person” (whether individual or entity) or by a foreign entity with U.S. ownership of more than 10% of the capital, whether directly or indirectly.
