Urbanized Area (UA) definition

Urbanized Area (UA) means the areas of the State of Connecticut so defined by the U.S. Census Bureau for the 2000 census.
Urbanized Area (UA) means the delineation of densely developed territory that encompasses residential, commercial, and other non-residential urban land uses. The U.S. Census Bureau delineates urban areas after each decennial census by applying specified criteria to decennial census and other data. Urbanized areas (UAs) are as defined in the NPDES permit.
Urbanized Area (UA) means a land area comprising one or more places-central place(s) and the adjacent densely settled surrounding area-that together have a residential population of at least 50,000 and an overall population density of at least 1,000 people per square mile.

  • For the purposes of the SS4A grant program award size minimum, rural is defined as an area outside an Urbanized Area (UA) or located within a UA with a population of fewer than 200,000.14 DOT reserves the right to make Implementation Grant awards less than the total amount requested by the applicant.

  • Regulated Small MS4: Any Small MS4 regulated by the State of Maine "General Permit for the Discharge of Storm Water from Small Municipal Separate Storm Sewer Systems" ("General Permit"), including all those located partially or entirely within an Urbanized Area (UA) and those additional Small MS4s located outside a UA that as of the issuance of the General Permit have been designated by the DEP as Regulated Small MS4s.
