Urban Farm definition

Urban Farm. – means a garden or orchard where food is grown primarily to be sold for profitable or non-profitable/charitable purposes. It may be sold directly to consumers, restaurants, or stores.
Urban Farm means privately or publicly owned land used for the cultivation of fruits, vegetables, plants, flowers, or herbs by an individual, organization, or business with the primary purpose of growing food for sale.
Urban Farm means any property in the District of Columbia that is used for the growing, cultivating, processing, and distributing of crops for profit, not for profit, or for educational purposes. The term “urban farm” shall not include backyard or community gardens.

Urban Farm means any property in the District of Columbia that is used for the growing, cultivating, processing, and distributing of produce for profit, not for profit, or for educational purposes. (D.C. Official Code §47-811(4))
Urban Farm means land that is used for the growing and harvesting of edible plants, vegetables or fruits and that the edible plants, fruits and vegetables grown on-site may be sold on-site. It may include buildings and structures such as farm produce/product stand, greenhouses, hoop houses or cold frames. It shall not include a medical marihuana growing and harvesting facility, an aquaponics or acquaculture facility, livestock operation or a mushroom operation. It shall not be considered as landscaped area, landscape open space, landscaped strip or landscaping..

Examples may include flower and vegetable raising, orchards and vineyards.
