• Where a Member is in the midst of a course of treatment from a UPMC Provider that is an Out-of-Network Provider under this Agreement, the Member may, at his/her option, request to continue treatment with that UPMC Provider.

More Definitions of UPMC

UPMC means the Park planning and management committee established and described in Article 5 of this Agreement;

UPMC means UPMC d/b/a University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, a non- profit, tax-exempt corporation organized under the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania having its principal address at 200 Lothrop Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15213. As used herein, UPMC does not include UPMC Health Plan unless otherwise specified.

UPMC means UPMC, UPMC d/b/a The University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, and UPMC McKeesport.

UPMC means University of Pittsburgh Medical Center and/or any and/or all of its Affiliates, its successors and assigns.

UPMC or “non-settling Defendant(s)” shall refer to defendant UPMC in the Action and any of UPMC’s affiliated entities or providers, including physicians and hospitals, that Plaintiffs may subsequently name as defendants in the Action or who may be joined as Defendants to this action other than the Released Parties.

UPMC means defendant The University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.
