Unspent Monies definition

Unspent Monies means any monies paid to the Grant Recipient in advance of its Eligible Expenditure, which remains unspent and uncommitted at the end of the Financial Year, the Funding Period or because of termination or breach of these Conditions; VAT means value added tax chargeable in the UK; Working Day means any day from Monday to Friday (inclusive) which is not specified or proclaimed as a bank holiday in England and Wales pursuant to section 1 of the Banking and Financial Dealings Act 1971 including Christmas Day and Good Friday.
Unspent Monies means any of the Grant which remains unspent and uncommitted at the end of a Funding Period or because of termination or breach of these Conditions; for avoidance of doubt Supplementary Funding will neither be considered as Grant or Unspent Monies;

Examples of Unspent Monies in a sentence

  • If applicable, all Unspent Monies (other than those irrevocably committed in good faith before the date of termination, in line with the Grant Funding Agreement and approved by the Authority as being required to finalise the Funded Activities) shall be returned to the Authority within 30 days of the date of receipt of a written notice of termination from the Authority.

  • The Grant Recipient may not retain any Unspent Monies without the Authority’s prior written permission.

  • If at the end of the relevant Financial Year there are Unspent Monies, the Grant Recipient shall repay such Unspent Monies to the Authority no later than 30 days of the Authority’s request for repayment.

  • The right to reimbursement shall be excluded if termination of the Grant Agreement is enacted under the provisions set out in Clause 17.2 above or where the Recipient has exercised its right to give notice of termination under Clause 17.4. In such instances the Recipient shall return all Unspent Monies to the Authority.

  • The Grant Recipient shall not retain any Unspent Monies without the Authority’s prior written consent.
