University purposes definition

University purposes means those purposes which relate solely to expenditure incurred by the P-card holder in the normal course of their employment or contractual relationship with the University, or are authorised by a Manager or some other person with due authority and comply with University policy and the Staff Code of Conduct (PDF, 406KB). Refer to the University’s Sensitive Expenditure Policy (PDF, 410KB) (Staff only) for further guidance.
University purposes means teaching, research or other uses which support the Landlord's academic mission and academic life.

Examples of University purposes in a sentence

  • Any admission of guilt, responsibility or statement against the student’s interest made by a student at off-campus proceedings shall be conclusive for University purposes.

  • Each campus shall maintain, for official University purposes, one (1) personnel file for each unit member.

  • For University purposes, this also includes sponsored dependents.

Related to University purposes

  • Research Use shall have the meaning given in Section 2.2.2 of this Agreement.

  • scientific research means any activity in the field of natural or applied science for the extension of knowledge;

  • Clean coal technology demonstration project means a project using funds appropriated under the heading “Department of Energy—Clean Coal Technology,” up to a total amount of $2,500,000,000 for commercial demonstration of clean coal technology, or similar projects funded through appropriations for the Environmental Protection Agency. The federal contribution for a qualifying project shall be at least 20 percent of the total cost of the demonstration project.

  • Noncommercial purposes with respect to motor fuel means not for resale.

  • Basic research means any original investigation for the advancement of scientific or technological knowledge that will enhance the research capacity of this state in a way that increases the ability to attract to or develop companies, jobs, researchers, or students in this state.

  • College or university means a county college, an independent

  • Educational Purposes means use for the purpose of education, teaching, distance learning, private study and/or research.

  • Collaboration Technology means the Collaboration Know-How and the Collaboration Patents.

  • Licensee Improvements means any improvement, enhancement, modification, derivative work or upgrade to any of Licensor Patent Rights made, conceived, reduced to practice, affixed or otherwise developed by or on behalf of Licensee during the term of this Agreement and solely as exercised under the License.

  • Approved Purposes means the use of Data by the Provider for the purposes of providing services authorized by APS in Agreements entered into between APS and the Provider (“Authorized Services”) during the term of the SDUPA., and for no other purpose.

  • Public research university means Rutgers, The State University

  • Primary Purpose means the collection, use, or disclosure of information collected by the Company or supplied by the Customer in order to: (1) provide, bill, or collect for, regulated electric service; (2) provide for system, grid, or operational needs; (3) provide services as required by state or federal law or as specifically authorized by an order of the Commission; (4) plan, implement, or evaluate programs, products or services related to energy assistance, demand response, energy management, energy efficiency, or renewable energy by the Company or under contract with the Company, under contract with the Commission, or as part of a Commission-authorized program conducted by an entity under the supervision of the Commission, or pursuant to state or federal statutes governing energy assistance; and (5) disclosure of customer name and address to a provider of appliance repair services in compliance with MCL 460.10a(9)(a), or to otherwise comply with the Code of Conduct.

  • Mixed use development means a Building used, designed or intended for Residential and Non-Residential uses, where:

  • Approved Purpose means a purpose for the use of recycled tires which is found on the list of Approved Purposes for Recycled Tires maintained by OTS and published on OTS’s web site from time to time;

  • Development Purposes means using the Software for the specific purpose of (a) developing, (b) single-user prototyping, quality assurance or testing and/or

  • Project Purposes means the use of Protected Information strictly and only for purposes related to Recipient’s and its Related Parties’ participation and involvement in the Project, and only for such period of time during which Recipient and its Related Parties are involved in Project related activities.

  • Contract Term Extension means an extension of the term of this contract, at the request of Purchaser, under this Subsection. This Subsection does not obligate Contracting Officer to grant Contract Term Extension. When such extension is made, Forest Service shall make an appraisal using standard Forest Service methods and appraisal data in effect 45 days prior to the original Termination Date. Bid Premium Rates shall be added to such appraised rates to establish Flat Rates or Tentative Rates for the extension period. In event rates so established would develop Current Contract Value immediately prior to such an extension that is less than Current Contract Value at that time, Flat Rates and Tentative Rates in effect immediately prior to extension shall be retained for the extension period. In consideration for granting an extension, Purchaser shall pay the Government for Purchaser’s failure to cut and remove timber meeting Utilization Standards prior to Contract Term Extension, an amount that shall be the total of the costs to the Government resulting from the delay in harvest of Included Timber. Such costs will be determined by Forest Service and shall include, but not be limited to, the following:

  • Business Purposes ’ means purposes normally or otherwise reasonably associ- ated with the use of land for business activities, including shops, offices, showrooms, restaurants or similar businesses other than places of instruction, public garages, builder’s yards, scrap yards and industrial activities;

  • Development Services “Target Market”; “Investment Areas”; and “Targeted Populations” have the meanings ascribed to such terms in 12 C.F.R. 1805.104.

  • Nuclear fuel cycle-related research and development activities means those activities which are specifically related to any process or system development aspect of any of the following: - conversion of nuclear material, - enrichment of nuclear material, - nuclear fuel fabrication, - reactors, - critical facilities, - reprocessing of nuclear fuel, - processing (not including repackaging or conditioning not involving the separation of elements, for storage or disposal) of intermediate or high-level waste containing plutonium, high enriched uranium or uranium-233, but do not include activities related to theoretical or basic scientific research or to research and development on industrial radioisotope applications, medical, hydrological and agricultural applications, health and environmental effects and improved maintenance.

  • Licensee Technology means the Licensee Know-How and Licensee Patents.

  • Technology Transfer has the meaning set forth in Section 5.2.

  • Research facility means buildings and structures, including machinery and equipment, used or to be used primarily for research or experimentation to improve or develop new tangible goods or materials or to improve or develop the production processes thereto.

  • Research and development facility means an establishment engaged in laboratory, scientific, or experimental testing and development related to new products, new uses for existing products, or improving existing products. The term does not include an establishment engaged in efficiency surveys, management studies, consumer surveys, economic surveys, advertising, promotion, banking, or research in connection with literary, historical, or similar projects.

  • Secondary Purpose means any purpose that is not a Primary Purpose.
