unforeseen expenditure means expenditure authorised by the Governor in Council pending supplementary appropriation.

  • Uncovered expenditures means the costs to the health maintenance organization for health care services that are the obligation of the health maintenance organization, for which a covered person may also be liable in the event of the health maintenance organization’s insolvency and for which no alternative arrangements have been made that are acceptable to the commissioner.

  • Expenditures means the sum of (a) all cash expenses or expenditures of the Partnership for such period, (b) the amount of all payments of principal and interest on account of any indebtedness of the Partnership including payments of principal and interest on account of REIT Loans, or amounts due on such indebtedness during such period (in the case of clauses (a) and (b), excluding expenses or expenditures paid from previously established reserves or deducted in computing Net Financing Proceeds or Net Sales Proceeds), and (c) such additional cash reserves as of the last day of such period as the General Partner deems necessary for any capital or operating expenditure permitted hereunder.

  • Qualified expenditures means capital expenditures that qualify, or would qualify except that the taxpayer entered into an agreement under subsection (13), for a rehabilitation credit under section 47(a)(2) of the internal revenue code if the taxpayer is eligible for the credit under section 47(a)(2) of the internal revenue code or, if the taxpayer is not eligible for the credit under section 47(a)(2) of the internal revenue code, the qualified expenditures that would qualify under section 47(a)(2) of the internal revenue code except that the expenditures are made to an historic resource that is not eligible for the credit under section 47(a)(2) of the internal revenue code that were paid. Qualified expenditures do not include capital expenditures for nonhistoric additions to an historic resource except an addition that is required by state or federal regulations that relate to historic preservation, safety, or accessibility.

  • Planned Expenditures has the meaning assigned to such term in clause (b) of the definition of “Excess Cash Flow.”

  • Expenditure means the outlay of cash or the amount due and owing after receipt of goods or services included in the Scope of Work.

  • Emergency Expenditure means any of the eligible expenditures set forth in the Contingency Emergency Response Component Manual in accordance with the provisions of Section I.I of Schedule 2 to this Agreement and required for the Contingent Emergency Response Part.

  • Recurrent Expenditure means any expenditure on the establishment, conduct, administration and maintenance of the Academy which does not fall within the categories of capital expenditure set out at clause 36.   • Independent expenditure means any expenditure by a person for a communication expressly advocating the election, passage or defeat of a clearly identified candidate or measure that is not made with the cooperation or with the prior consent of, or in consultation with, or at the consent of, or in consultation with, or at the request of a suggestion of, a candidate or any agent or authorized committee of the candidate or political committee supporting or opposing a measure. As used in this subsection, “expressly advocating” means any communication containing a message advocating election, passage or defeat including, but not limited to, the name of the candidate or measure, or expression such as “vote for,” “elect,” “support,” “cast your ballot for,” “vote against,” “defeat” or “reject”.   • local expenditures means expenditures in the currency of the Borrower or for goods or services supplied from the territory of the Borrower; and

  • Operating Expenditures means all Partnership Group cash expenditures (or the Partnership’s proportionate share of expenditures in the case of Subsidiaries that are not wholly owned), including taxes, compensation of employees, officers and directors of the General Partner, reimbursement of expenses of the General Partner and its Affiliates, debt service payments, Maintenance Capital Expenditures, repayment of Working Capital Borrowings and payments made in the ordinary course of business under any Hedge Contracts, subject to the following:

  • foreign expenditures means expenditures in the currency of any country other than that of the Borrower for goods or services supplied from the territory of any country other than that of the Borrower;

  • Maintenance Capital Expenditure means cash expenditures (including expenditures for the construction of new capital assets or the replacement, improvement or expansion of existing capital assets) by a Group Member made to maintain, over the long term, the operating capacity or operating income of the Partnership Group. For purposes of this definition, “long term” generally refers to a period of not less than twelve months.

  • Maintenance Capital Expenditures means cash expenditures (including expenditures (i) for the addition or improvement to or the replacement of the capital assets owned by any Group Member, (ii) for the acquisition of existing, or the construction or development of new, capital assets or (iii) for any integrity management program, including pursuant to the Gas Transmission Pipeline Integrity Management Rule (49 CFR Part 192, Subpart O) and any corresponding rule of state law) if such expenditures are made to maintain, including over the long term, the operating capacity or operating income of the Partnership Group. Maintenance Capital Expenditures shall exclude Expansion Capital Expenditures or Investment Capital Expenditures, but include interest (and related fees) on debt incurred and distributions in respect of equity issued, other than equity issued in the Initial Public Offering, in each case, to finance the construction or development of a replacement asset and paid in respect of the period beginning on the date that a Group Member enters into a binding obligation to commence constructing or developing a replacement asset and ending on the earlier to occur of the date that such replacement asset Commences Commercial Service and the date that such replacement asset is abandoned or disposed of. Debt incurred to pay or equity issued, other than equity issued in the Initial Public Offering, to fund construction or development period interest payments, or such construction or development period distributions in respect of equity, shall also be deemed to be debt or equity, as the case may be, incurred to finance the construction or development of a replacement asset and the incremental Incentive Distributions paid relating to newly issued equity shall be deemed to be distributions paid on equity issued to finance the construction or development of a replacement asset. Maintenance Capital Expenditures will include cash contributed by any Group Member to an entity of which such Group Member is, or after such contribution will be, directly or indirectly, an equity owner to be used by such entity for capital expenditures of the types described in clauses (i), (ii) or (iii) above.

  • Exploration Expenditures means the sum of:

  • Capital Expenditures for any period, with respect to any Person, the aggregate of all expenditures by such Person and its Subsidiaries for the acquisition or leasing (pursuant to a capital lease) of fixed or capital assets or additions to equipment (including replacements, capitalized repairs and improvements during such period) that should be capitalized under GAAP on a consolidated balance sheet of such Person and its Subsidiaries.

  • Ineligible Expenditures means the costs that are ineligible for payment under the terms and conditions of the Agreement, and that are described in Schedule “E” (Eligible Expenditures and Ineligible Expenditures).

  • Eligible Expenditures means expenditures in respect of the reasonable cost of goods, works and services required for the Project and to be financed out of the proceeds of the Loan allocated from time to time to the eligible Categories in accordance with the provisions of Schedule 1 to this Agreement; and

Expansion Capital Expenditures shall include interest payments (and related fees) on debt incurred and distributions on equity issued, in each case, to fund the construction of a Capital Improvement and paid in respect of the period beginning on the date that a Group Member enters into a binding obligation to commence construction of the Capital Improvement and ending on the earlier to occur of the date that such Capital Improvement Commences Commercial Service or the date that such Capital Improvement is abandoned or disposed of. Debt incurred or equity issued to fund any such construction period interest payments, or such construction period distributions on equity paid in respect of such period shall also be deemed to be debt incurred or equity issued, as the case may be, to fund the construction of a Capital Improvement, and the Incremental Incentive Distributions paid in respect of such newly issued equity shall be deemed to be distributions paid on equity issued to finance the construction of a Capital Improvement.
