Type D definition

Type D means a School Bus with a Body installed upon a Chassis or unitized type construction, with a GVWR of greater than 16,000 pounds and designed to carry more than 10 persons. If the School Bus includes an internal combustion engine, the engine may be behind the windshield and beside the driver’s seat; it may be at the rear of the bus, behind the rear wheels.   • Batch number means a unique numeric or alphanumeric identifier assigned prior to any testing to allow for inventory tracking and traceability.

  • Brand Name or Equal Specification means a specification which uses one or more manufacturer’s names or catalogue numbers to describe the standard of quality, performance, and other characteristics needed to meet District requirements, and which provides for the submission of equivalent products.

  • Data Universal Numbering System (DUNS) number means the 9-digit number assigned by Dun and Bradstreet, Inc. (D&B) to identify unique business entities.
