Treatment Guidelines definition

Treatment Guidelines or “guidelines” means medical treatment guidelines that are used as a tool to support clinical decision making and quality health care delivery to injured employees.
Treatment Guidelines means systematically developed statements to assist health care providers in making patient decisions concerning appropriate medical care for specific clinical circumstances.
Treatment Guidelines means statements that include recommendations intended to optimize patient care that are informed by a systematic review of the evidence and an assessment of the benefit and harms of alternative care options. The statements and other documents that accompany the guidelines are those that are adopted by the Bureau effective on January 1, 2016, and periodically updated as new information warrants.
