traditional activities definition

traditional activities means activities performed by the traditional inhabitants in accordance with local tradition, and includes, when so performed—
traditional activities are those activities undertaken by the Native Title Party on the Agreement Area, as provided for in Schedule 2;
traditional activities means those activities undertaken by citizens for food, subsistence or ceremonial purposes to strengthen and enhance social, spiritual and cultural relationships and values between, and of, citizens that, except for trapping, are not intended to be for commercial purposes;

traditional activities means activities performed by the traditional inhabitants in accordance with local tradition, and includes, when so performed - (i) activities on land, including gardening, collection of food and hunting; (ii) activities on water, including traditional fishing; (iii) religious and secular ceremonies or gatherings for social purposes, for example, marriage celebrations and settlement of disputes; and (iv) barter and market trade. In the application of this definition, except in relation to activities of a commercial nature, "traditional" shall be interpreted liberally and in the light of prevailing custom;
