The Trademark Sunrise scheme is a mandatory launch period within which each new gTLD operator must give rights holders the ability to register or block the registration of their trade marks as second level domain names (i.e., the wording to the left of the dot).
The Trademark Claims service is expectedto notify brand owners of attempts to register their trade marks (exact matchesonly) for the first 60 days of general availability for the gTLD in question.Both of these services will rely on the Trademark Clearinghouse, a database of registered rights that will be used as a resource by new gTLDs fulfilling their Trademark Sunrise and Trademark Claims services.
Any name that is found on the .bar SLD block list, found at http://www.icann.org/sites/default/files/tlds/bar/bar-apd-list-12nov13-en.csv will be blocked by Registry at the conclusion of the Trademark Sunrise Period and may not be available to applicants during General Availability.
There will be no allocation of names until after the end of the Trademark Sunrise Period.
