Tourism Event definition

Tourism Event. : means an event, such as a major convention, trade show, sporting activity, or festival, with potential to attract visitors from outside a 50- mile radius and to produce significantly increased Economic Impact for the State of Illinois through overnight stays.
Tourism Event means any special event that furthers the City’s economic development goals, is primarily intended to attract participants from out of the immediate area and is eligible to receive funding from lodging tax funds. The receipt of lodging tax funds granted by the City for an event is contingent upon the issuance of a special event permit and the successful implementation of the event.
Tourism Event means an event that is aimed or focused geared towards persons located at least 40 kilometres from the boundaries of the Town;

Examples of Tourism Event in a sentence

  • Board-endorsed or Treasurer-Certified financial statement clearly indicating the expenses and revenues of your New Tourism Event.

  • The Tourism Event will have the following components: • Introduce Paris Drinks Fest to Southern Ontario • Create the first craft beer, wine, and spirits festival in the region • Draw an estimated 400 tourists and overnight visitors with a total attendance of 1,000 • Increase visitor spending by $100,000+ • Program four world class artists from Ontario to perform The Paris Drinks Fest will run August 18, 2018.

  • The list or samples should include all occasions (e.g., at Tourism Event, audio, radio, television, website, print, etc.) and locations.

  • In order to qualify for and receive any portion of the Incentive, Recipient must submit a complete and executed compliance certificate in the form provided by GFLCVB (“Compliance Certificate”) and the required supporting documentation within thirty (30) calendar days after the completion of the Event (for Group/Convention Sponsorships or Tourism Event Sponsorships) or the end of the Term of County’s Sponsorship (for Place of Interest Sponsorships).

  • Marketing funding will be provided only for eligible Media Buy activities targeting tourists making overnight stays who are: • In-province (Ontario) overnight audiences from at least 100 kilometres from the Tourism Event, and/or • Out-of-province overnight audiences beyond Ontario (i.e., other Canada, United States, other international).

  • Ineligible marketing costs include, but are not limited to the following: • Media Buy costs targeting tourists who are in-province (Ontario) overnight audiences of less than 100 kilometres from the Tourism Event.

  • As consideration for Recipient operating the Place of Interest (for Place of Interest Sponsorships), holding the Event (for Tourism Event Sponsorships and Group/Convention Sponsorships), and/or utilizing the Venue for the Event (for Group/Convention Sponsorships), and the Sponsorship Benefits described in the Sponsorship Agreement provided to County by Recipient, County shall provide Recipient the Incentive to assist Recipient in connection with holding or hosting the Event.

  • These Funds may be used to support the Tourism Event funded expenses detailed in the New Tourism Event Cash Operating Expenses and Marketing Expenses Table.

  • The term of this Sponsorship Agreement shall begin on the date it is fully executed by the Parties (“Effective Date”) and shall end thirty (30) days after the last day of the Event (for Group/Convention Sponsorships and Tourism Event Sponsorships) or the last day of County’s Sponsorship Period (for Place of Interest Sponsorships).
