TOU Meter definition

TOU Meter means the “gas measurement system”, complying with NZS 5259:2008, that measures all Gas taken by an End-user from a Distribution System, and which includes an electronic corrector which records the actual hourly quantity of Gas (in cubic metres at actual pressure and temperature) measured by the meter in each Hour for a period of not less than 1,008 consecutive Hours together with the actual pressure and temperature of Gas at the meter in each such Hour;
TOU Meter means Metering Equipment with the capacity to accurately record “time of use information” or interval data relating to the quantity of gas supplied at an ICP and includes an “advanced meter” as defined in the Switching Rules.

  • If the End-user is not directly connected to the Transmission System at the Delivery Point, the Shipper shall procure that the End-user: at all times has a fully operational TOU Meter at its site; and if required by First Gas, facilitates First Gas’ retrieval of data from that TOU Meter remotely via telemetry or SCADA.
