Three Hour Rule definition

Three Hour Rule if an employee has excused time off during their shift, the employee is responsible for coming to work if three (3) hours or more can be worked.
Three Hour Rule applies for employees observing less than a full days vacation. Note the following exceptions: (a) employees that attend Union meetings must return to work upon the conclusion of the Union meeting, and (b) the “Three Hour Rule” does not pertain to medical or therapy appointments involving work related injuries.
