The Inspecting Officer definition

The Inspecting Officer means the person specified in the contract for the purpose of Inspection of stores or work under the contract and includes his authorised representative;

• The Inspecting Officer may reject the stores if the stores are not packed/or marked as aforesaid and in case where the packing materials are separately prescribed, if such materials are not in accordance with the terms of the contract.

• The Inspecting Officer shall inform the contractor in writing of its programme for such inspection and the officials' identity to be deputed for this purpose.

• The Inspecting Officer may reject the materials if the materials are not packed and/or marked as aforesaid and in case where the packing materials are separately prescribed, if such materials are not in accordance with the terms of the contract.
