the Benefit(s definition

the Benefit(s means assistance benefits provided by Sanlam to the Assured Lives;
the Benefit(s means the sum set out in the Benefits section against the relevant event which represents the annual aggregate limits, unless otherwise specified, that the Company is liable under a 12-month period. In the event that the Period of Insurance varies, the Benefits payable under Sections 2, 3 and 4 shall be proportionately adjusted on a pro-rata time basis.
the Benefit(s means the coverage as specified in the Policy against the relevant Events stated herein.

Related to the Benefit(s

  • the benefit Acts means the SSCBA, the Jobseekers Act 1995, the State Pension Credit Act 2002 and the Welfare Reform Act 2007;

  • the BCTF Plan means the Group RRSP entered into by the Federation and Royal Trust or a successor to that plan;

  • the 1977 Act means the National Health Service Act 1977;

  • the 1974 Act means the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974;

  • the 1973 Act means the Water Act 1973;

  • the 2011 Act means the Localism Act 2011;

  • the 1978 Act means the National Health Service (Scotland) Act 1978 (c. 29),

  • the 1972 Act means the Local Government Act 1972.

  • AML/CFT means anti-money laundering and countering the financing of terrorism;

  • Advantage means any payment (whether made voluntarily or involuntarily, by offset of any deposit or other indebtedness or otherwise) received by any Bank in respect of the Debt, if such payment results in that Bank having less than its pro rata share of the Debt then outstanding, than was the case immediately before such payment.

  • BGB means the German Civil Code (Bürgerliches Gesetzbuch).

  • BNS means The Bank of Nova Scotia.

  • Consumer Protection Act means the Consumer Protection Act, No 68 of 2008;

  • Data Protection Law means the applicable legislation protecting the fundamental rights and freedoms of persons and their right to privacy with regard to the processing of Personal Data under the Agreement (and includes, as far as it concerns the relationship between the parties regarding the processing of Personal Data by SAP on behalf of Customer, the GDPR as a minimum standard, irrespective of whether the Personal Data is subject to GDPR or not).

  • the 2008 Act means the Planning Act 2008;

  • the 2003 Act means the Health and Social Care (Community Health and Standards) Act 2003.

  • the 1988 Act means the Local Government Finance Act 1988.

  • Data Protection means the implementation of appropriate administrative, technical or physical means to guard against unauthorized intentional or accidental disclosure, modification, or destruction of data.

  • EU Data Protection Law means (i) prior to 25 May 2018, Directive 95/46/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of Personal Data and on the free movement of such data ("Directive") and on and after 25 May 2018, Regulation 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of Personal Data and on the free movement of such data (General Data Protection Regulation) ("GDPR"); and (ii) Directive 2002/58/EC concerning the processing of Personal Data and the protection of privacy in the electronic communications sector and applicable national implementations of it (as may be amended, superseded or replaced).

  • the 1992 Act means the Local Government Finance Act 1992;

  • the SSCBA means the Social Security Contributions and Benefits Act 1992;

  • Applicable Data Protection Law means, as applicable, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (Regulation 2016/679) (as may be amended, superseded or replaced) ("GDPR") and all other supplemental or implementing laws relating to data privacy in the relevant European Union member state, including where applicable the guidance and codes of practice issued by the relevant supervisory authority, and/or all applicable analogous privacy laws of other countries;

  • Data Protection Act means Act CXII of 2011 on Informational Self-Determination and Freedom of Information.

  • the 2007 Act means the Local Government and Public Involvement in Health Act 2007;

  • the 1998 Act (“Deddf 1998”) means the Teaching and Higher Education Act 1998;

  • the 1983 Act means the Representation of the People Act 1983;
