Text Messaging While Driving. December 30, 2009, FTA encourages each third party contractor to promote policies and initiatives for its employees and other personnel that adopt and promote safety policies that decrease crashes by distracted drivers, including policies to ban text messaging while driving, and to include this provision in each third party subcontract involving the project.

FAA encourages recipients of Federal grant funds to adopt and enforce safety policies that decrease crashes by distracted drivers, including policies to ban text messaging while driving when performing work related to a grant or sub-grant. J-U-B has in place a policy within J-U-B Accident Prevention plan that prohibits all employees from texting and driving. J-U-B shall include these policies in each third-party subcontract exceeding $10,000 that involves driving a motor vehicle in the performance of work activities associated with the project.
Text Messaging While Driving text messaging while driving is prohibited in the performance of any duties included under this Agreement for both Consultant and any sub-consultants. Consultant shall include a provision prohibiting texting while driving in all sub-consultant agreements entered into under this Agreement.
