territory of the Union means the territories of the Member States to which the Treaty is applicable, under the conditions laid down in the Treaty, including their airspace.

  • This measure would allow, for a maximum duration of up to 6 months, air carriers from the United Kingdom to fly across the territory of the Union without landing, make stops in the territory of the Union for non-traffic purposes, and perform scheduled and non-scheduled international passenger and cargo services between points in the United Kingdom and points in the EU (third and fourth ‘Freedoms of the Air’).

  • Article 2(2) of Regulation 428/2009 defines “export” of goods as an export procedure within the meaning of Article 269 Union Customs Code, i.e. goods leaving the customs territory of the Union, and re-export within the meaning of Article 270, i.e. non-Union goods to be taken out of the customs territory of the Union, not including goods in transit.

  • By way of derogation from paragraph 1, the competent authorities may authorise an aircraft to land in, take off from, or overfly, the territory of the Union if the competent authorities have determined that such landing, take-off or overflight is required for humanitarian purposes or for any other purpose consistent with the objectives of this Regulation.

  • It shall be prohibited to provide access, after 16 April 2022, to ports and, after 29 July 2022, to locks in the territory of the Union, to any vessel registered under the flag of Russia, with the exception of access to locks for the purpose of leaving the territory of the Union.

  • The Network Manager shall, in particular, reject all flight plans filed by aircraft operators indicating an intent to carry out activities over the territory of the Union that constitute a violation of this Regulation, such that the pilot is not permitted to fly.
