Temporary help contracting firm definition

Temporary help contracting firm means any person who is in the business of employing individuals and, for compensation from a third party, providing those individuals to perform work for the third party, under the supervision of the third party.

  • Temporary Works means all temporary works of every kind required in or about the execution, completion or maintenance of works.

  • Temporary service means an electrical service granted temporarily for such purposes as construction, real estate sales, trailers, et cetera;

  • Temporary total disability means disability that results in the inability of an employee to earn wages as a result of a compensable injury for which disability benefits may not exceed a cumulative total of one hundred four weeks or the date the employee reaches maximum medical improvement or maximum medical recovery, whichever occurs first.

  • Consulting Firm has the meaning set forth in Section II.A.4.

  • Technical Dispute has the meaning specified in Section 12.2;

  • Lobbying firm means any business entity, including an individual contract lobbyist, which meets either of the following criteria:

  • temporary licence means a Licence granted under the Act valid for a single day or for such period as may be specified in the Licence not exceeding six months.

  • Design-Build Firm means a partnership, corporation or other legal entity that:

  • Temporary use means a use or structure on improved or unimproved real estate which is of impermanent nature, and is used for less than ninety days in a calendar year.

Any projects or assignments of limited duration in excess of that provided for herein will be posted.

  • Temporary employment Any employment in the merit system which will require the services of an incumbent for a limited period of time, paid on an hourly basis, not in an allocated position or in permanent status. Transfer: The change of an employee who has permanent status in a position to another position in the same class in a different department, or to another position in a class which is allocated to a range on the salary plan that is within five percent (5%) at top step as the class previously occupied by the employee.

  • Temporary disability means wage loss replacement for the primary job;

  • Contractor Project Manager means the employee identified in a Statement of Work as the Contractor project manager.

  • sponsoring firm means the firm registered in a jurisdiction of Canada on whose behalf an individual acts as a dealer, an underwriter, an adviser, a chief compliance officer or an ultimate designated person;

  • Temporary sign means a sign not permanently fixed and not intended to remain fixed in one position;
