The City agrees to meet or exceed the Texas Commission on Fire Protection’s (TCFP) specifications for PPE, or the most recent TCFP PPE standards in the event the TCFP is dissolved.
TSDHS certification points are in addition to military points and TCFP points.

In order to qualify for this stipend, the firefighter must: (1) possess the TCFP Driver/Operator certification, and (2) actually drive the apparatus pumper or ladder during their shift.
Fire Officers are not eligible for this TCFP Driver/Operator certification special duty pay, but may use the TCFP Driver/Operator certification as one of the five approved certifications as provided in the paragraph above.
To be eligible for certification pay, a Fire Fighter must submit a copy of his/her Texas Commission on Fire Protection (TCFP) certification verifying completion of TCFP requirements to the Fire Chief or his/her designee.
Termination of this Agreement shall be in compliance with the guidelines of the TXDSHS and TCFP.
