Target Sanction definition

Target Sanction means when the therapeutic potential of a Neurology Target has been demonstrated in pre-clinical disease models and such Neurology Target has received approval by Isis’ RMC to justify expending resources to identify a human Development Candidate, all in accordance with Isis’ standard processes.

Examples of Target Sanction in a sentence

  • After the Parties complete the activities to achieve Target Sanction for a particular High Interest Target that is not an ALS Target, Isis will deliver a Target Sanction Data Package for such High Interest Target to the Neurology JRC for review as soon as reasonably practicable.

  • No later than [***] days after the Strategy Initiation Date for a given Strategy, the Parties will finalize a separate Target Sanction Plan for such Strategy, provided that if the next scheduled meeting of the Neurology JRC is not within such [***]-day period, then the Parties may mutually agree to postpone finalization of the Target Sanction Plan to the date of such meeting of the Neurology JRC.

  • If the Neurology JRC cannot agree upon a final Target Sanction Plan within such [***]-day period following the applicable Strategy Initiation Date, or at such meeting of the Neurology JRC at which the Target Sanction Plan was considered, then either Party may refer the matter to the CSC for resolution.

  • If, during the Research Term in the course of conducting work outside of the Collaboration with respect to any Isis Neurology Target, Isis achieves Target Sanction with respect to such Isis Neurology Target, then Isis will deliver a Target Sanction Data Package for such Isis Neurology Target to the Neurology JRC for review as soon as reasonably practicable.

  • Each update to the Disease Research Plan will include, at a minimum (i) the High Interest Targets to be worked on in the Disease Research Plan in each Calendar Year (or remaining portion thereof) and, if not already commenced, the date on which the JSC anticipates that work on each High Interest Target will commence; and (ii) the activities to support Target Sanction for any High Interest Target included in the Disease Research Plan (including any work on High Interest Targets that is ongoing).

  • For clarity, in requesting additional supporting information in connection with a Target Sanction Data Package, Biogen may not request Ionis to perform any additional experiments or studies, or generate any additional data beyond that which is set forth in the applicable Target Sanction Plan.

  • Upon completion of the activities in the Disease Research Plan to support Target Sanction for a particular High Interest Target, Isis will deliver a Target Sanction Data Package for such High Interest Target to the JSC for review as soon as reasonably practicable for the JSC to determine whether or not such High Interest Target has achieved Target Sanction and thus is eligible to become a Collaboration Target.

  • Ionis will carry out its drug discovery efforts for each Collaboration Program pursuant to the applicable Collaboration Program Research Plan in a manner consistent with its internal practices for other gene targets with the goal of achieving Target Sanction and identifying a Development Candidate for the applicable Collaboration Program as soon as practicable.

  • Each time Isis delivers to the JSC a Target Sanction Data Package for a High Interest Target under this Section 1.10 the Parties will schedule a meeting of the JSC to occur within [***] following delivery of such Target Sanction Data Package.

  • Sanctions Target means: (1) any country or territory that is the target of country-wide or territory-wide Economic Sanctions/Trade Laws, including, as of the date of this Agreement, Iran, Cuba, Syria, the Crimea region of Ukraine, and North Korea; (2) a person that is on the list of Specially Designated Nationals and Blocked Persons or any of the other sanctions persons lists published by OFAC, or any equivalent list of sanctioned persons issued by the U.S. Department of State; (3) a person that is located in or organized under the laws of a country or territory that is identified as the subject of country-wide or territory-wide Economic Sanctions/Trade Laws; or (4) an entity owned fifty percent (50%) or more or controlled by a country or territory identified in clause (1) or person in clause (2) above.

  • OFAC Sanctions Program means any economic or trade sanction that OFAC is responsible for administering and enforcing. A list of OFAC Sanctions Programs may be found at xxxx://xxx.xxxxxxxx.xxx/resource-center/sanctions/Programs/Pages/Programs.aspx.

  • OFAC Sanctions means any sanctions program administered by the Office of Foreign Assets Control of the United States Department of the Treasury (“OFAC”) under authority delegated to the Secretary of the Treasury (the “Secretary”) by the President of the United States or provided to the Secretary by statute, and any order or license issued by, or under authority delegated by, the President or provided to the Secretary by statute in connection with a sanctions program thus administered by OFAC.   • Disciplinary sanction means any action listed in s. UWS 14.04 taken in response to student academic misconduct.

  • Economic Sanctions refers to sanctions imposed by the U.S. government in response to Russia’s actions in Ukraine, as well as any sanctions imposed under state law. The EO directs state agencies to terminate contracts with, and to refrain from entering any new contracts with, individuals or entities that are determined to be a target of Economic Sanctions. Accordingly, should the State determine Contractor is a target of Economic Sanctions or is conducting prohibited transactions with sanctioned individuals or entities, that shall be grounds for termination of this agreement. The State shall provide Contractor advance written notice of such termination, allowing Contractor at least 30 calendar days to provide a written response. Termination shall be at the sole discretion of the State.

  • OFAC Sanctions Programs means all laws, regulations, and Executive Orders administered by OFAC, including without limitation, the Bank Secrecy Act, anti-money laundering laws (including, without limitation, the Uniting and Strengthening America by Providing Appropriate Tools Required to Intercept and Obstruct Terrorism Act of 2001, Pub. L. 107-56 (a/k/a the USA Patriot Act)), and all economic and trade sanction programs administered by OFAC, any and all similar United States federal laws, regulations or Executive Orders, and any similar laws, regulators or orders adopted by any State within the United States.

  • Sanctions means economic or financial sanctions or trade embargoes imposed, administered or enforced from time to time by (a) the U.S. government, including those administered by the Office of Foreign Assets Control of the U.S. Department of the Treasury or the U.S. Department of State, or (b) the United Nations Security Council, the European Union, any European Union member state or Her Majesty’s Treasury of the United Kingdom.

  • State Sanctions List means a list that is adopted by any state Governmental Authority within the United States of America pertaining to Persons that engage in investment or other commercial activities in Iran or any other country that is a target of economic sanctions imposed under U.S. Economic Sanctions Laws.

  • Economic Sanctions Laws means those laws, executive orders, enabling legislation or regulations administered and enforced by the United States pursuant to which economic sanctions have been imposed on any Person, entity, organization, country or regime, including the Trading with the Enemy Act, the International Emergency Economic Powers Act, the Iran Sanctions Act, the Sudan Accountability and Divestment Act and any other OFAC Sanctions Program.

  • U.S. Economic Sanctions Laws means those laws, executive orders, enabling legislation or regulations administered and enforced by the United States pursuant to which economic sanctions have been imposed on any Person, entity, organization, country or regime, including the Trading with the Enemy Act, the International Emergency Economic Powers Act, the Iran Sanctions Act, the Sudan Accountability and Divestment Act and any other OFAC Sanctions Program.

  • Sanctions Authority means: (i) the United Nations (including the United Nations Security Council), the United States, the European Union, any Member State of the European Union and the United Kingdom; and (ii) the respective governmental, judicial, public or regulatory agencies, authorities or bodies of any of the foregoing, including the Office of Foreign Assets Control of the U.S. Department of the Treasury (“OFAC”), the United States Department of State, the European Commission and Her Majesty’s Treasury (“HMT”);

  • Sanctions Authorities means the respective governmental institutions and agencies of any of the United States, the United Nations, the European Union, the United Kingdom, including without limitation, OFAC, the United States Department of State, and Her Majesty's Treasury;

  • SDN List shall have the meaning assigned to such term in Section 6.21.

  • Sex trafficking means the recruitment, harboring, transportation, provision, or obtaining of a person for the purpose of a commercial sex act.
