System Constraints definition

System Constraints means any outage, suspension, constraint or curtailment in the operation of the B.C. Hydro System or the Transmission System, including forced outages on the B.C. Hydro System, forced outages on the Transmission System, and constraints arising as a result of minimum or maximum generation requirements or environmental, regulatory, or reservoir management requirements;
System Constraints is defined in the 2020 TPA as “…any outage, suspension, constraint or curtailment in the operation of the BC Hydro System or the Transmission System, including forced outages on the BC Hydro System, forced outages on the Transmission System, and constraints arising as a result of minimum or maximum generation requirements or environmental, regulatory or reservoir management requirements…”. 59 In summary, a Non-Flexible Import Schedule is a schedule of electricity from Powerex to BC Hydro, at BC Hydro’s request, for the purposes of serving Domestic Requirements. An example of a Non-Flexible Import would be a request from BC Hydro to import during cold days in winter to meet high peak loads.

Examples of System Constraints in a sentence

  • At any time when the generating capacity of the Thermal Generation Plants is not required to serve Domestic Load, satisfy B.C. Hydro’s obligations under Interutility Agreements or respond to System Constraints, B.C. Hydro may, at the request of Powerex, operate such Thermal Generation Plants to generate electricity.

  • Powerex receives ongoing forecast information from BC Hydro so that it can make decisions and manage the timing of flexible imports and exports according to BC Hydro’s expected overall system energy balance and consistent with all applicable System Constraints, as determined by BC Hydro.

  • Thereafter, the Tested Reliable Capacity determined pursuant to a Performance Test shall not exceed the amount determined pursuant to this Section 13.3.3.2, unless Seller provides Buyer with credible evidence that the effect of any Transmission System Constraints has been mitigated.

  • Nothing in this AGREEMENT is intended to be construed as giving any right and/or benefit to any third party.

  • Prepare a draft System Constraints, Gaps and Project Needs Report (delivered in both electronic and hard copy format) for review and comment by the PMT.

  • The TSOs publish the RR requirements within the System Constraints section of the Operational Constraints Update.

Related to System Constraints

  • Pre-Construction Phase Services means the participation, documentation and execution of Contractor’s Pre-Construction Phase deliverables as required by this Agreement and further defined in Article 5.

  • Limited Resource Constraint means, for the 2017/2018 Delivery Year and for FRR Capacity Plans the 2017/2018 and Delivery Years, for the PJM Region or each LDA for which the Office of the Interconnection is required under Tariff, Attachment DD, section 5.10(a) to establish a separate VRR Curve for a Delivery Year, a limit on the total amount of Unforced Capacity that can be committed as Limited Demand Resources for the 2017/2018 Delivery Year in the PJM Region or in such LDA, calculated as the Limited Demand Resource Reliability Target for the PJM Region or such LDA, respectively, minus the Short Term Resource Procurement Target for the PJM Region or such LDA, respectively.

  • Electronic Subcontracting Reporting System (eSRS) means the Governmentwide, electronic, web-based system for small business subcontracting program reporting. The eSRS is located at http://www.esrs.gov.

  • Service Levels means the service levels to be met by the Services as referenced in the Contract Letter and set out in the Specification Schedule.

  • Constraint or "dose constraint" means a value above which specified licensee actions are required.
