Swing Shift definition

Swing Shift means a system whereby the employee's work periods overlap and or dovetail into a different established shift system.
Swing Shift means a scheduled shift which starts and stops at a time other than the normal starting and stopping times of the day, evening or night shift. At least four weeks prior to implementing a new swing shift in any area of the Hospital, the Employer will notify the President of the Local Union and will meet with the Union with a view to obtaining input from the Union and the nurses affected by the proposed change of the hospital.
Swing Shift. A workday that extends beyond 9:00 p.m. but ends no later than 12:00 a.m.

More Definitions of Swing Shift

Swing Shift. Unit members with a regularly scheduled work shifts that includes hours after 6:00 pm shall be paid a five (5) percent swing shift differential for all hours worked during that shift.
Swing Shift. 3:00 p.m. - 11:00 p.m.

Swing Shift. An employee shall receive shift differential pay of seven and one-half percent (7.5%) of base hourly rate for being assigned to work a swing shift.
Swing Shift shall receive eight (8) hours pay at the regular hourly rate plus ten percent (10%), for seven and one-half (7 1/2) hours worked.
