Sub-Foreman definition

Sub-Foreman means a tradesperson appointed by the employer who is required to assist the Foreman to a greater degree in the control of the employees and the operations beyond that required of a leading hand to the extent that it requires practically the whole of the employee's time in this direction. Whilst occupying the position of Sub-Foreman the employee will be considered as being trained for a position of Foreman and when required must be capable of taking over the duties and responsibilities during any absence of the Foreman.
