Stormwater BMP definition

Stormwater BMP means any best management practice that is designed to collect or manage the quantity or quality of stormwater runoff for an indefinite time period. This term is a subset of the term “best management practice” and distinct in that they require long-term maintenance. Some examples include, but are not limited to: wet or dry detention basin, infiltration trench or basin, bio-retention basin, stilling basin, green roof, filter strip, artificial wetland, or any combination of these or other permanent stormwater management practices, as determined by the LRD.
Stormwater BMP means a structural best management practice that is designed to collect or manage the quantity or quality of stormwater for an indefinite time period, following adopted County or State technical standards. Some examples include, but are not limited to: pervious pavement, rain garden, infiltration trench or basin, green roof, bio-swale, filter strip, constructed wetland, bio-retention basin, wet detention basin, or any combination of these or other permanent stormwater management practices approved by the County.

Examples of Stormwater BMP in a sentence

  • The Owner shall inspect the Facilities at least once every three (3) years, and the Owner’s maintenance of the Facilities must, at minimum, be in accordance with guidance provided in the latest edition of the “Virginia Stormwater Management Handbook” and at the Virginia Stormwater BMP Clearinghouse website.

  • The Developer may be required to execute a mutually agreeable Stormwater Agreement and Stormwater BMP Facility Access Easement upon request of Village.

  • The requirements of each BMP as described below are taken directly from the PA Stormwater BMP Manual (December, 2006).

  • Maintenance of the Stormwater Management Facilities shall include but is not limited to compliance with the Stormwater BMP Inspection and Maintenance Plan (“Inspection Plan”) attached as Exhibit B.

  • The Contractor will complete the final report using the DEC CWIP’s Final Performance Reporting Template and the Stormwater BMP Reporting Template and include the as built design and inspection report.

  • The Design-Builder shall prepare the SWPPP by following the format in Sections 2, 3, 4 and Appendices A through F of the California Stormwater BMP Handbook - Construction, January 2009 edition, published by the California Stormwater Quality Association.

  • Stormwater BMP Success Criteria: The success of a stormwater BMP will be based upon the type of BMP and its associated design criteria contained within the approved BPDP.

  • The San Antonio River Authority Stormwater BMP Rebate Program provides funds for qualified construction of Low Impact Development (LID) Best Management Practices (BMPs) to treat stormwater runoff for the benefit of the public within Bexar, ▇▇▇▇▇▇, ▇▇▇▇▇▇ and Goliad counties.
