State Information Commission means the State Information Commission constituted under sub-section (1) of section 15;

State Information Commission means the State Information Commission constituted under Sub-section (1) of Section 15 of the RTI Act, 2005. Sections 15 to17 of the Act provide for the constitution, terms and conditions of service and removal of the State Chief Information Commissioner (SCIC) and State Information Commissioners (SICs) respectively. Powers and functions of the SIC, including power to receive appeals and impose penalty are discussed under Sections 18-20 of the Act. Besides, the Commission is also entrusted with the duty of monitoring the functions of public authorities and sending report to the State legislature about the implementation of the provisions of the Act.
