Special species definition

Special species means those species of plants and animals determined by the State Parks and Recreation Department to be significant in value in a state natural area and defined in the Oregon Natural Areas Plan.
Special species means plants or animals listed by the state or federal government as threatened or endangered, and those that are candidates for listing. It also includes the priority habitats and species designated by WDFW, and those species designated as species of local concern under the Growth Management Act.
Special species means those species of plants and animals determined by the council to be significant in value in a [natural heritage conservation] state natural area and defined in the Oregon Natural [Heritage] Areas Plan.
