Special Enrollment Period definition

Special Enrollment Period means a period of time allowed under this Plan, other than the eligible person’s Initial Enrollment Period or an Open Enrollment Period, during which an eligible person can request coverage under this Plan as a result of certain events that create special enrollment rights.
Special Enrollment Period means a period during which a Qualified Individual who experiences certain qualifying events may enroll in, or change enrollment in, a Qualified Health Plan through the Exchange outside of any Annual Open Enrollment Periods.
Special Enrollment Period means a period other than the first period in which an eligible employee or a dependent is eligible to enroll under the terms of group health insurance coverage in connection with which it is issued, without regard to other enrollment periods defined under the health insurance coverage.

More Definitions of Special Enrollment Period

Special Enrollment Period means a period during which a qualified individual or enrollee who experiences certain qualifying events, as specified in Section 6504(a) of Article 5 of this chapter, Section 1399.849(d) of the Health and Safety Code, and Section 10965.3(d) of the Insurance Code, may enroll in, or change enrollment in, a QHP through the Exchange outside of the initial and annual open enrollment periods.
