Source reduction and recycling element (SRRE) definition

Source reduction and recycling element (SRRE) means a source reduction and recycling element required by the Act as that element may be amended from time to time.
Source reduction and recycling element (SRRE) means plans prepared by all jurisdictions in accordance with Public Resources Code Section 41000 et seq. The SRRE sets forth a jurisdiction’s basic strategy for management of Solid Waste and Divertible materials generated within its borders, with emphasis on implementation of source reduction, Recycling, and Composting programs.

  • The California Public Resources Code requires the City to prepare and implement a Source Reduction and Recycling Element (SRRE) and a Household Hazardous Waste Element (HHWE).
