Yachts in Category 2 must have life rafts equipped with a SOLAS B Pack.
As an alternative to the SOLAS A Pack, ves- sels may have a SOLAS B Pack for each inflatable liferaft.
ISO liferafts and SOLAS B Pack liferafts may only be fitted onboard vessels < 24m in length engaged on Domestic Navigation including those navigating exclusively within Maltese Waters.
The liferafts carried shall be stowed in GRP containers and shall contain the necessary "emergency pack": .1 For Short Range Yachts, or vessels operating within 90 miles from a safe haven, liferafts provided may be equipped with a "SOLAS B Pack".

Life rafts of Restricted Navigation yachts shall be equipped with a SOLAS B Pack.
