Small Disadvantaged Business definition

Small Disadvantaged Business means a small business concern (as defined in FAR 19.001) that is at least 51 percent unconditionally owned by one or more individuals who are both socially and economically disadvantaged (as defined in this section), or a publicly owned business that has at least 51 percent of its stock unconditionally owned by one or more socially and economically dis- advantaged individuals (as defined in this section) and that has its manage- ment and daily business controlled by one or more such individuals.
Small Disadvantaged Business as used in this provision, means a small business concern that (a) is at least 51 percent owned by one or more individuals who are both socially and economically disadvantaged, or a publicly owned business having at least 51 percent of its stock owned by one or more socially and economically disadvantaged individuals and (b) has its management and daily business controlled by one or more such individuals.

More Definitions of Small Disadvantaged Business

Small Disadvantaged Business means to either a "minority business enterprise" or a "handicapped business enterprise" as defined above.

Small Disadvantaged Business as used in this provision means a small business that: (i) has received certification as a small disadvantaged business consistent with 13 CFR part 124, Subpart B; (ii) no material change in disadvantaged ownership and control has occurred since its certification; (iii) where the is owned by one or more individuals, the net worth of each individual upon whom the certification is based does not exceed $750,000, after taking into account the applicable exclusions set forth at 13 CFR 124.104(c)(2); and (iv) is identified, on the date of its representation, as a certified small disadvantaged business in PRO-Net, the database maintained by the Small Business Administration.
