Skilled Person definition

Skilled Person means any person who in the opinion of the engineer is sufficiently skilled and qualified to execute, supervise and inspect work pertaining to high voltage regard being had to his experience and knowledge of electrical practice;
Skilled Person means the skilled person appointed pursuant to section 166 of the Act to assess and report upon SBUK’s AML processes;
Skilled Person. Means a person who has been trained, has adequate knowledge for the task at hand and declared competent in writing. Supervision/Supervise Means to oversee the actions of a person(s) to such an extent as to prevent any dangerous act, as far as reasonably practicable. Such a supervisor must be trained in risk assessment techniques and be able to understand the dangers / hazards associated with the task and who has the authority to ensure that precautionary measures taken are implemented. Visitor Any person visiting a workplace with the knowledge of, or under the supervision of, an employer.

Examples of Skilled Person in a sentence

  • On signing for acceptance of the instruction a Skilled Person authenticates the instruction as valid and becomes the Person in Charge of the permitted task(s).

  • Prior to any specific maintenance tasks being carried out, the Authorised Person will verify the competencies of those operatives who have been allocated the particular maintenance task on specific refrigeration plant or equipment, with a view to applying the formal Skilled Person appointment procedures (described elsewhere in these Safety Rules and Procedures).

  • The Purchaser is duly qualified to do business, and is in good standing, in each jurisdiction where the character of its properties owned or held under lease or the nature of its activities make such qualification necessary, except where the failure to be so qualified would not, individually or in the aggregate, reasonably be expected to have a material adverse effect on its business, properties, assets, condition (financial or otherwise), liabilities or operations.


More Definitions of Skilled Person

Skilled Person means any person having the current knowledge, experience and competence to perform a certain duty;
