Silent Call definition

Silent Call means any unsolicited call made by a person or an entity to a customer for a very short duration in which either called party has not yet been alerted by his or her device, or it is very unlikely to be answered, wherein the intention of caller is to get call back from called party and then enter into commercial communication; Taxes mean all applicable taxes, duties, cess or levies imposed by a Government Authority;
Silent Call means a call which is initiated by automatic calling equipment ("ACE") and is then terminated by the ACE immediately after the called party answers the call.

  • Network Termination Point means the physical point at which a Subscriber is provided with access to a Public Electronic Communications Network and, where it concerns Electronic Communications Networks involving switching or routing, that physical point is identified by means of a specific network address, which may be linked to the Telephone Number or name of a Subscriber. A Network Termination Point provided at a fixed position on Served Premises shall be within an item of Network Termination and Testing Apparatus;

  • Digital Signal Level 1 or "DS1" means the 1.544 Mbps first-level signal in the time-division multiplex hierarchy. In the time-division multiplexing hierarchy of the telephone network, DS1 is the initial level of multiplexing.

  • Random selection process means a process by which currently income-eligible households are selected for placement in affordable housing units such that no preference is given to one applicant over another except for purposes of matching household income and size with an appropriately priced and sized affordable unit (e.g., by lottery).

  • Automatic Route Selection or “ARS” means a service feature associated with a specific grouping of lines that provides for automatic selection of the least expensive or most appropriate transmission facility for each call based on criteria programmed into the system.

  • Digital Signal Level 1 (DS-1) means the 1.544 Mbps first level signal in the time division multiplex hierarchy.
