Short Term Shift definition

Short Term Shift means a shift covering any duration of a minimum of 5 days up to a maximum of 8 weeks Monday to Friday only.
Short Term Shift means successive afternoon or night shifts that do not continue for a full cycle (i.e., 5 shifts for 8-hour shifts)
Short Term Shift means all ordinary hours of work worked outside the span of hours as prescribed by clause 13.4 and 14.2.4 to meet the requirements of a site or workplace, for periods of less than 4 consecutive shifts.

Examples of Short Term Shift in a sentence

  • Where an employee requests to work regular hours of duty outside of the bandwidth for personal reasons, any approved arrangement does not attract shift work conditions, Short Term Shift Allowance or the payment of overtime.

  • An employee is entitled to Short Term Shift Allowance if he or she is at a classification level at or below the Salary Barrier or if the Integrity Commissioner otherwise authorises payment of Short Term Shift Allowance to the employee.

  • Under these short term arrangements, an employee scheduled to perform all or part of their ordinary hours outside the bandwidth will be entitled to penalty rates as prescribed in Clause 7.6 plus an additional Short Term Shift Allowance of 2.5% of salary for the scheduled ordinary hours worked.

  • Short Term Shift Allowance Where ACLEI has short term operational requirements for periods of less than 2 weeks that require employees to perform all or part of their normal hours of duty outside the bandwidth, ACLEI may, with 72 hours’ notice, or less by agreement of the affected employees, schedule employees to work their normal hours at specified times.

  • Ergon Energy will notify the relevant parties and meet with the affected employees to present and consult on the proposal for the introduction of Short Term Shift Arrangement.

  • Where employees under this Agreement are engaged for extended periods on coordination and/or supervision of overhauls at CS Energy Power Station sites, they shall be entitled to relevant Short Term Shift rates and conditions from the respective site Enterprise Agreement.

  • Clause 5.4.2 of this Agreement, states that "Continuous shift work" shall mean work that is continuous for 24 hours per day for an unbroken period of at least 28 days ….”, therefore Short Term Shift work will be up to a maximum of 28 days at one time.

  • Where an individual is working under a Short Term Shift arrangement, it will be the decision of the Maintenance, Plant, or Shift Controller as to whether they can be spared to attend to priority work elsewhere in the Company.

  • Employees working on a long term, Non-Continuous Shift, (not including Short Term Shift Arrangements, as defined), will be entitled to an additional three (3) days annual leave per year worked, accumulated and available on a pro-rata basis.

  • If you are scheduled to perform all or part of your ordinary hours under these short term arrangements, you will be entitled to your ordinary rate of pay plus penalty rates, as well as a Short Term Shift allowance of 2.5% of ordinary salary for the scheduled hours worked.
