Short Hour definition

Short Hour. An employee who regularly works less than forty (40) hours per pay period.

Examples of Short Hour in a sentence

  • Full-time, Part-time, Short Hour and Per Diem employees are eligible to participate in the 403(b) Retirement Plan under the terms set forth in the plan document.

  • Such Regular and Short- Hour employees must notify their department of specific days and shifts they wish to restore by exercising their right in this paragraph.

  • Short Hour, On Call, Temporary employee's seniority shall be based on the employee's date of entry into the bargaining unit in a Short Hour, On Call, Temporary position.

  • Should an employee decide to move back to a regular full-time or regular part-time position in the future, he/she will have his/her seniority date adjusted for the full period he/she was in a Short Hour, On Call or Temporary position as described in #2 above.

  • Statuses include: Full Time, Regular Part-Time, Short Hour, Per Diem, Casual Part-Time and Temporary.

  • When an employee changes status from a Short Hour, On Call or Temporary position to a benefited position, his/her seniority date will be adjusted based on previous service in the aforementioned categories.

  • When an employee changes status from a regular full-time or regular part-time position to a Short Hour, On Call or Temporary position, his/her seniority will be adjusted as described in #2 above.

  • All employees who are employed on a Full-Time, Part- Time, Temporary, Short Hour, or Per Diem basis in the petitioned for unit, who are on the active payroll as of the date immediately preceding the date of filing of the consent agreement and who are still on the payroll at the time of the voting shall be eligible to vote in the election, except managers, supervisors, confidential employees and guards.

  • Regular Short Hour with less than 4 hours per day are not eligible for benefits.

  • A Short Hour, Regular Part-Time or Regular Full-Time Registered Nurse that is subject to layoff, except those with a documented history of performance problems in the last twelve (12) months, shall have the option to bump the least senior On-Call (Per Diem) Registered Nurse, provided she/he is qualified to perform the available On-Call (Per Diem) work.

  • Kilowatt-hour or “kWh” shall mean three decimal six million (3.6 10E6) Joule

  • Flight Hour means each hour or part thereof elapsing from the moment at which the wheels of the Aircraft (or other aircraft in the case of Parts or Engines temporarily installed on such other aircraft) leave the ground on the take-off of the Aircraft (or such other aircraft) until the wheels of the Aircraft (or such other aircraft) touch the ground on the landing of the Aircraft (or such other aircraft) following such take-off.

  • Contact hour means an hour of training received through direct instruction.

  • Short Position means any short position (whether conditional or absolute and whether in the money or otherwise), including any short position under a derivative, any agreement to sell or any delivery obligation or right to require another person to purchase or take delivery.

  • Support Hours means between 8:30am and 5pm during Monday to Friday excluding standard UK Bank Holidays.
