Shift Position definition

Shift Position means a non-union employment position, as designated by the Department Director, which has a designated work schedule in those Village operations which function on a twenty-four (24) hour basis every day of the year. Shift position shall not include any position that is exempt or on a 24/48 schedule or one covered in a collective bargaining agreement. Res. 2014-77 (12/2/14).
Shift Position means an employment position, as designated by the Director of Human Resources, which has a designated work schedule in those Village operations, such as Police and the Village Operations Center, which function on a twenty-four (24) hour basis every day of the year. Shift position shall not include any position on a 24/48 schedule or one covered in a collective bargaining agreement.

Examples of Shift Position in a sentence

  • Section 26.1 The Relief Shift Position is to fill in for shift vacancies caused by personal time, vacation time, training, disability leaves, other leaves described in Article 16 of the contract, and those times in the dispatch center which may require a third telecommunicator.

  • Section 26.2 The Relief Shift Position shall be chosen by seniority.

  • The Relief Shift Position shall be scheduled no less than seven calendar days in advance, and may be changed by the Employer with a no less than seven calendar days notice.
