Examples of Severance from Service Date in a sentence

• The period commencing on any Severance from Service Date and ending on the date an Employee is again credited with an Hour of Service for the performance of duties for the Employer.

• Solely to determine whether a one-year Period of Severance has occurred for eligibility or vesting purposes for an Employee who is absent from service beyond the first anniversary of the first day of a Parental Absence, Severance from Service Date is the second anniversary of the first day of the Parental Absence.

• PERIOD OF SEVERANCE means a period of time beginning on an Employee's Severance from Service Date and ending on the date he again performs an Hour-of-Service.

Severance from Service Date means the date, as recorded on the records of a Participating Company or an Affiliated Company, on which an Employee of such company quits, retires, is discharged, or dies, or, if earlier, the first anniversary of the first day of a period during which the Employee remains absent from service with all Participating Companies and Affiliated Companies (with or without pay) for any other reason, except:

Severance from Service Date means the earlier of the date of the Employee's Separation From Service, or the first anniversary of the date on which the Employee is absent from service (with or without pay) for any reason other than his Separation From Service or a Maternity or Paternity Absence, such as vacation, holiday, sickness, or leave of absence. The Severance From Service Date of an Employee who is absent beyond the first anniversary of his first day of absence by reason of a Maternity or Paternity Absence is the second anniversary of the first day of the absence.

Severance from Service Date means the earlier of (a) the date the Employee quits, retires, is discharged, or dies, or (b) the first anniversary of the first date of a period in which an Employee is absent for any other reason; provided, however, that an Employee shall not experience a Severance from Service Date while the Employee is on lay-off or Leave of Absence if the Employee returns to Employment immediately following the end of the lay-off or Leave of Absence. If the Employee does not return to Employment immediately following the end of the lay-off or Leave of Absence, such Employee shall be deemed to have had a Severance from Service Date as of his first day of absence due to lay-off or Leave of Absence.

Severance from Service Date means the earlier of the date on which the Employee quits, retires, is discharged or dies, or the first anniversary of the date of absence for any other reason. Notwithstanding the foregoing, if an Employee is discharged subject to a right of recall, such Employee's Severance from Service Date shall be the one-year anniversary of the date of his discharge, unless the Employee returns to work prior to such date.
